St David’s Day at C Breeze

Thank you to Derrick, the staff and customers of C Breeze for a really special night. We always look forward to singing for such an appreciative audience and St David’s Day was no exception. We were so pleased to sing Myfanwy for you all and it was lovely to have you join in – what fabulous voices you all have! Time for a Change Concert

Thank you to the Rondalla Son del Mar Menor and the Agrupación Coral Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Los Alcázares, who joined us for the concert and to everyone who donated for the entry tickets and the raffle. Special thanks go to the Concejal de Cultura, Antonio Luis López Campoy, for supporting the event, and to Conchita and Lyn for organising the event. A huge thank you to all Spangles who donated for the raffle, took photos,…

    Burns Night Fundraiser

Wow! What a fantastic night, organised by the Baritone section. As you may have gathered, many of them hail from Bonnie Scotland, so a Burns Night celebration was a very appropriate choice for their fundraiser. Ably aided by a Spaniard (Conchita) a Scottish Bass (Maggie) and a Sassernach (Diana), they put on a terrific night of great food and entertainment. Thanks to John who piped in the haggis, to Bill for addressing the haggis, to Carol for an amazing raffle and to Wendy for being such a great entertainer on the sax and for preparing and donating the delicious Cranachan dessert. Thanks also to the staff at Restaurante Las Claras.…

    Spangles Loves Paying It Forward!

Soon after Spangles gained a national silver medal at the SABS (Spanish Association of Barbershop Singers) annual convention in Benalmádena, Málaga, two chorus members took part in a 60 kilometre walk to help raise funds and awareness for the DEBRA charity, which is dedicated to helping people who suffer from the painful genetic skin condition Epidermolysis bullosa (EB). Their mission is to offer specialist care to those who need it. They give support to people and families affected and provide real hope for the future by supporting pioneering research which will one day find a cure. DEBRA focuses its work…
