Spangles Ladies' Harmony Chorus

Running a rapidly-growing chorus increases the need for finance and that is why donating money is very valuable to us. Since our inception in 2004, we have grown from 5 to 35 members and we need to upgrade our performance equipment: costumes, repertoire, sheet music, teach tracks and, most of all, our risers. In 2010, we achieved our dream of better and safer risers, which was possible through hard work and the great support of friends, family and members of the public.

In 2011, 2013 and 2015 we became the Champion Chorus of Spain and Portugal and we represented Spain internationally in our championship years. We will be competing again in 2020 and, in order to do this, we need to raise funds to cover our costs. This commitment to our craft involves considerable expense for costumes, transport and accommodation, so fundraising is always at the forefront of our activities.

We had the honour of being invited to open the LABBS (Ladies’ Association of British Barbershop Singers) at Harrogate in the UK in October 2014 and our fundraising was focused on helping to get 36 of our members to that event. This could not have been achieved without the fantastic support of chorus members, friends, family and supporters, and we are so grateful to you all.

In October 2016, we competed in the international contest in Cork, Ireland, and in October 2017, we competed in the European contest in Bournemouth, UK, as well as in our national contests in Benalmádena and Calpe, Spain in in 2017, 2018 and 2019, so fundraising continues to help afford trips for our members.

Whatever you donate, we will be extremely grateful!
