    Concejalia de Juventud Concert

A perfect end to a perfect day, after a great rehearsal, was singing for the parents, teachers and students of IES RUIZ de ALDA at the Concejalía de Juventud de San Javier. Thank you to the students for forming a ‘guard of honour’ as we left the auditorium and to everyone for the lovely gifts. The beautiful fans will be put to good use and we will wear our badges with great pride. Have a super summer break and we look forward to seeing you all again in September.

    Youth A Cappella Workshop

We had an absolute blast at this youth workshop in San Javier today. Great group of aspiring musicians, keen to learn the art of four part harmony singing. We will be working alongside music teacher, Carmen, to create the first youth chorus in San Javier in the new term. We’re excited to be performing for pupils, parents and teachers on 20 June. #spreadingthebarbershoplove #futureofbarbershopinspain

IES Ruiz de Alda School Workshop

What an absolute pleasure it was to be invited to provide an a cappella and barbershop 💈 workshop for this enthusiastic group of pupils, with ages ranging from 12 to 18. We had a ball and have already been invited back later this year. We are hopeful that we can get a youth chorus started here too. Photos: Lindy Easson and Polly Rimmer

It was a full house at Spangles’ concert at the Los Alcázares town hall last Friday. Spangles Loves Paying It Forward!

Soon after Spangles gained a national silver medal at the SABS (Spanish Association of Barbershop Singers) annual convention in Benalmádena, Málaga, two chorus members took part in a 60 kilometre walk to help raise funds and awareness for the DEBRA charity, which is dedicated to helping people who suffer from the painful genetic skin condition Epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
