We’ve been busy

We’ve been so lucky to have found a great venue where we can rehearse in safety, complying with all of the regulations, which change on a weekly basis. We had our last rehearsal at the Olympia Pool and Garden Bar in Mil Palmeras last Thursday and we’d like to thank Santi and his team for accommodating our every need.

We have our final rehearsal at the Mar Menor Golf Club on Thursday, 8 July, followed by an ‘end-of-term’ lunch at the Genoa Number 6 on The Boulevard, then a few weeks off to relax and enjoy the hot summer days. This also gives us an opportunity to celebrate our bronze trophy recently won at the virtual Prague Music Festival with our video of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.

We won’t be totally idle on the music front, though; keeping up with our repertoire and possibly dusting off those Christmas songs, in readiness for our return on 2 September.

We have our first singout since March 2020 at La Torre Golf Resort on Friday, 16 July. We will be singing (socially distanced, of course) in the amphitheatre in the town centre there, so feel free to pop along and say ‘hello’.
